Interior design is a very vast field and its reach has spread far and wide. Separate interior design firms are now available to enliven different places. You have residential interior design firms that concentrate only on residences and houses. Commercial interior design firms decorate offices and other commercial places. Separate firms are also available for public institutions like hospitals, theatres and the like. As some people grew financially, so did their demands. To match this, some new avenues were introduced in interior design. This article describes one such avenue - luxury interior design.
Luxury interior design is not an option available to the everyday man. It's mainly for the affluent, and is meant for places like family manors, cathedrals and the sort. Also coming under this enclosure are some commercial places like a resort, spa or some other holiday destination in general. In fact all unique designs are luxury designs in practice, or so to speak. While it may burn a considerably huge hole in the pocket, many customers usually walk out of the deal felling that all their money was well spent.
In luxury interior designs it is taken for granted that the customer is always around when the work on the place in question takes place. First the interior designer works with the customer in understanding the requirements to the last detail. The project manager is then consulted and a schedule is put up. Top priority is given to meeting the deadlines that the schedule specifies. In the later stages of design, specialized personnel such as furnishings designers, lighting designers and the like work with the customer to add the finishing touches to the spatial planning that was performed in the earlier stages.
Another common feature in luxury interior design is the high availability of resources. Materials of all types are usually available in an interior design center from where the customer can choose the material that he or she prefers. By such an arrangement, the user is offered a limitless amount of flexibility in selection, thus making this 'their' design in every sense of the word. All this is done after an initial meeting with the interior decoration firm. This is done because luxury interior design is a costly affair and a well budgeted scheme is always better. Moreover, this also helps the designers understand their clients better.
Luxury interior design is usually sought from firms that are grounded in experience. Experienced firms are often very creative and at the same time very understanding - the perfect combination for luxury design. In such design endeavors, the firm takes care of everything, ranging from conceptualization to documentation. All this with the consultancy of the client of course.
Special places merit special designs. While ordinary interior designs will suffice and even look good, they seldom do justice to the beauty of the place and may end up concealing the location's true charm. If money is not a hindering factor, then luxury interior design is what you're going to want.
